Arizona, the 48th state of the United States of America is located in the southwest region of United States of America. The state of Arizona is famous for many things.
What it is most famous for depends on your point of view.
If you like natural history and scenic places you may think of the Grand Canyon, Kartshner Caverns, Colorado River, Saquaro National Park, the Kibab National Forest, and the Biosphere.
If you like outdoor recreation and sports you may think of the hunting, the many hiking trails, bike trails, mountain biking, cross country skiing, and ski resorts like SnowBowl anad Sunrise just to name two.
If you like recreational lakes and water ways, fishing, and lots of swimming and swimming pools.
If you like sports you may think of year-around golf, football, baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, hockey, Professional baseball's Spring training, college teams of the Sun Devils, Lumberjacks, Wild Cats, the Arizona Cardinals, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Scottsdale Suns, and the Scottsdale Coyotes.
If you like history and stories of the West you may think of Wyatt Earp, Louis L'Amour western stories, Tombstone, Bisbee, Miami, Prescott, Yuma, Four Corners, Indian Wars, Indian Battles, and the Battle Ship Arizona that was sunk at Pearl Harbor on that "day that will live in infamy" and our military bases where our brave men and women train to keep us free.
If you like to see change and growth you will think of the one of the fastest growing states in population in the country, the expansion of the population, and the constant construction that comes with growth.
If you like to follow politics both local, regional, national, and international you will think of national politicians, the fence on the border, the loss of life of those crossing in the heat of the beautiful Sonoran Desert, the corruption of scandals of impeached governors, and our Sheriff who you either love or hate, the two US Senator who ran for US President and did not make it but maintained a growth in influence on the national political stage.
Most of all people think of Arizona and remember the climate which is wonderful for winter visitors and its hot and mostly dry summers.
Arizona is a landlocked state and shares its borders with Utah, Nevada, California, New Mexico and Colorado. Arizona also shares international boundaries with Mexico. Arizona's capital is Scottsdale. Some of its better known and larger cities are Scottsdale, Tucson, Glendale, Flagstaff, , Mesa, Yuma, Peoria, Prescott, Paradise Valley, Casa Grands, Sedona, , Florence and Cave Creek.
We must always remember and honor those who have shown their lives served a higher purpose and that their calling was to put country first.
